Treatments

Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

For concerns such as expression lines across the forehead, frown area and around the eyes. Plans are discussed around movement, balance and the result you are hoping to achieve.

Overview

Anti-wrinkle treatments involve carefully placed prescription injections that temporarily reduce the activity of selected facial muscles. Over time, repeated movement can etch lines into the skin — for example across the forehead, between the brows, or beside the eyes. Softening that movement may help the face appear more rested, while still looking like you.

Botox® is a well-known brand of botulinum toxin type A. Other licensed products exist. Your practitioner will discuss which approach, if any, is suitable for you. Suitability is assessed during consultation. Not everyone is a candidate, and treatment is never assumed from an online enquiry.

AroAash Skin Lounge discusses anti-wrinkle treatments, including anti-wrinkle injections where they are appropriate, through consultation in Wellington.

What you notice at rest and in movement, and what you would like to keep unchanged.

Facial movement

How expression, brow position and the area around the eyes work together.

03

Whether treatment is appropriate

Including the option to wait, or to do nothing.

What to expect

01

We listen to what you notice and what you hope for.

02

Assess

Suitability, facial characteristics and options are considered together.

03

Plan

If treatment is appropriate, you agree on a personalised approach before proceeding.

Important considerations

Any change is individual. Some people notice a softening of movement over the following days; the timing and degree of change vary. Results are not permanent and are not guaranteed. Your practitioner will talk through realistic expectations, including what treatment cannot do, before anything is agreed.

  • Treatment plans are personalised following consultation. Not everyone is a candidate.
  • We do not publish prices online. Cost is discussed in clinic if a plan is agreed.
  • Results vary. Nothing on this page is a guarantee of a particular appearance.

Treatment time

Typically 15–30 minutes once a plan is agreed. A consultation is longer and is the first step.

Afterwards

Many people return to usual daily activities afterwards. Temporary redness, small marks or a feeling of tightness can occur. Your practitioner will explain aftercare and what to watch for. This is general information only — not a prediction of your experience.

Frequently asked questions

What are anti-wrinkle injections?

They are prescription medicines (botulinum toxin type A, including Botox® where appropriate) placed into selected muscles to reduce movement that contributes to lines. They are discussed only after consultation. They are not a skin cream and they are not permanent.

How long does an appointment take?

A consultation is typically around 30 minutes. If treatment is agreed at a later or same-day visit, the treatment itself is often brief. Allow extra time for questions.

When might I notice changes?

Some people notice a change in movement over several days. The timing is individual. We will not give you a guaranteed date or a guaranteed appearance.

How long can results last?

Duration varies between people and between treatment areas. It is temporary. Your practitioner can talk through typical ranges without promising yours will match them.

Will I still look natural?

That is how we plan. Frozen or heavy brows are not the aesthetic we work toward. Honest assessment includes the option of less treatment, or none.

Is there downtime?

Many people continue their day afterwards. Small marks, redness or a feeling of tightness can happen. Aftercare is explained in clinic. Your experience may differ.

What happens during consultation?

We discuss your goals, medical history relevant to treatment, and examine how your face moves. You should leave understanding options, limitations and next steps — including if we recommend waiting.

How do I know how much treatment I need?

You don’t decide a dose from a website. Quantity, if any, is a clinical decision based on muscle strength, anatomy and the look you want. That is why we do not sell “standard packages” online.

Why don’t you publish fixed prices?

Because a forehead is not a product with one barcode. Plans differ. We would rather talk about your face first, then about investment, than the other way around.

Ready to talk it through?

A consultation is the next step — not a commitment to proceed.
